News Release 30 April 2004 Bosley joins forces with Intercytex; critical developments in hair-loss solutions on the horizon Bosley, a world leader in hair-loss and medical hair restoration, has entered into an agreement with Intercytex, Limited, of Manchester, England. Intercytex, a research and manufacturing facility known for its ability to isolate, culture, and deliver native human cells from the skin, lungs, and kidneys, is currently engaged in the development of novel, cell-based therapies for the treatment of wounds and hair loss. According to Bosley President and CEO John R. Ohanesian: "Bosley is excited to have the opportunity to work with this leader in cellular biology and tissue engineering. The application of cell-based technology on hair-loss solutions is extremely promising for the hair restoration industry." Dr. Paul Kemp, CEO of Intercytex, commented: "We are pleased to collaborate with the leading practitioner in surgical hair-loss solutions. Intercytex will now be able to share information with Bosley about TrichoCyte, a cell-based approach to the next generation of hair transplant technology. In addition to TrichoCyte, which induces new follicle formation, Intercytex is developing ProtoDerm, a bioactive that stimulates wound healing. The company employs fifty staff members in research, development, and production. In addition to the main offices in Manchester, Intercytex maintains laboratories near Boston, Mass.
