De Novo and Peakdale complete GPCR library
De Novo Pharmaceuticals,
a Cambridge, UK-based computational drug design company, says that
its collaboration with Peakdale Molecular has resulted in the successful
launch of a new range of Peakexplorer screening compound libraries
designed with the help of De Novo's computational drug design platform
SkelGen.
The first library is focused on G-Protein Coupled
Receptors and contains over 1,000 well-characterized, highly diverse
proprietary drug-like compounds.
Peakexplorer G1 was created through a novel process
that combines De Novo's modelling, computational design and virtual
screening with Peakdale's proprietary chemistry and parallel synthesis
capabilities. De Novo generated 15 million virtual structures, around
1,000 of which were synthesized by Peakdale in this first collection.
Bart Wuurman, chief executive of De Novo, commented:
"we are very pleased with the launch of Peakexplorer G1. In
addition to licensing our technology to pharmaceutical companies
like Roche and Lilly, this GPCR library further validates our computational
approach to drug discovery."
